Sismographie du silence
This is an installation featuring a 40-minute performance rooted in the philosophical structure of dépassement du sujet—the collapse and transcendence of the subject, inspired by Georges Bataille. Through material resistance, bodily exhaustion, and the collapse of language, it gradually dismantles the boundaries of the self.
The spatial structure resists theatrical representation; it is not a locus of character or narrative, but rather a permeable field where the disintegration of the subject intersects with the spectators’ gaze. In this fluid zone, boundaries between interior and exterior, action and observation, presence and disappearance become indistinct, allowing the performance to function as an existential threshold.

Hello, I’m Yu-Fang Fu (Evelyn), an artist from Taiwan. I’m currently exploring different art forms to find a better way to express myself.
I graduated from the Department of Drama at the National Taiwan University of Arts, with a background in acting, performing, and directing. My artistic interests focus on site-specific, intimate, and interactive forms of performance and installation. I’m particularly inspired by the work of Bobby Baker.
My practice is rooted in everyday life. I strive to create works that are accessible and relatable, while still inviting contemplation and offering layered insights.
